How can my organization participate in Corporate FunRun Weekend?
Participating in Corporate FunRun Weekend is easy:
- Step 1: Select the event you wish to participate in
- Step 2: Click on the “create a team” icon for that event
- Step 3: Follow the instructions and register your team.
Can I sign up as an individual?
Most Corporate FunRun Weekend “company teams” consist primarily of full time or part time employees. A guest can be anybody who is not a full time or part time employee of the company. Typical guests include spouses and children of employees, friends of the company, clients, prospects, vendors.
What is a guest?
Yes, individuals not affiliated with a registered team are welcome to participate in CFR Weekend. You can either register on-line as a team member of the Corporate FunRun team for the desired event or we can simply sign you up on race morning and add you to the Corporate FunRun team.
I am part of a company team that wants to pay for all of its employees registration fees but is unable to pay for guests, what do I do?
We suggest that you register two teams in the event. The Company team and the Company friends and family team. The company team is “company/captain pays” and the “Company friends & family team” is individual pay. You will be one big team on race night-two separate teams for registration purposes only.

A social team is simply an INFORMAL assemblage of friends, family members, work associates not running under a company team umbrella, gym/running buddies or any combination thereof.

A club team is a FORMAL association of individuals such as a running club, a book club, a church group, a eighborhood association etc. The team name should be the club name.
Why is it important for me to wear my race number and where should it be located?
In case of medical emergency at any point during the event, it’s critically important that we be able to identify all participants quickly. That’s why bib numbers are non-transferrable. All bib numbers should be pinned to the participant’s running shirt above the waist.
Are walkers allowed?
Absolutely yes. Walkers are welcome and tend to make up the majority of Corporate FunRun event participants. Walkers should start in the back of the pack and on a multi loop course stay to the right for runners can easily pass.
How much does it cost to register my team?
The registration fee is $47 per person and includes a free tee shirt and free food and drink all morning. For “company pay” teams, we will invoice the organization a few days before the event after the team is finalized. Payment can be made by check or credit card. For “individual pay” teams, each team member will pay the $47 registration fee by check or debit card when they join the organization’s team.
Tell me about the Corporate FunRun Weekend post-race party?
Participant experience is a signature feature of all Corporate FunRun Weekend events. We will have a D.J playing music from event start to finish and a photographer taking team, run/walk and party photos. In addition, we will have a bagel buffet brunch featuring bagels, spreads, pastries, yogurt, fresh fruit and more. Whenever possible, the brunch will be boozy with a make your own mimosa station, canned beer and hard seltzer. Water and Gatorade will also be available. Fun morning we promise!
Will water we available?
Of course, bottled water will be available before and after the event, with cups of water available to the mid-course water stop.
How will you know my tee shirt size?
All team members provide us with their tee shirt size when they join their organization’s team.
Will the 5k course be well marked and easy to navigate?
Absolutely, it’s what we do. All 5k courses are measured/re-measured on race morning and will be well marked mostly using a combination of orange safety cones, clamps and directional arrows. Course maps will be available at the registration table.
When will I get my race results?
Provided we have a cell phone number or an e-mail address, all team members will have their finishing times sent to them by our timing company within minutes of crossing the finish line.
How go I get to the host facility and where do I park?
For each CFR Weekend event, a whole bunch of event specific information, including parking information, can be found by clicking on the orange “event info.”
My organization wants to become a fundraising team for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, what do I do?
When the team captain registers their organization’s team, they will be asked whether or not they want to be a fundraising team for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. If they select yes, a local Make-A-Wish Foundation office representative will reach out and provide a fundraising link to the charity’s giving page. Just to be clear, we do not get involved with team specific fundraising, only facilitate the relationship with Make-A-Wish. Of course, 100% of all monies raised by our teams and team member goes directly to Make-A-Wish.
